I’m Roxanne Bigwood, a Person-Centred Counsellor and EMDR Therapist. I offer a warm, safe, and compassionate space where you can show up exactly as you are — without judgement, pressure, or the need to “hold it all together.”
In our work together, you’ll be met with understanding, empathy, and curiosity. My goal is to walk alongside you as you begin to release what’s been weighing you down and reconnect with your inner strength, resilience, and sense of self.

I’m a trauma informed Counsellor and EMDR Therapist, and I’m passionate about creating a safe, warm, and understanding space where people can explore their experiences and begin to heal.
My approach is grounded in the belief that every person has an inner capacity for growth and resilience — sometimes it just needs the right conditions to emerge. Therapy offers exactly that: a place where you’re truly heard, supported, and understood.
My Therapeutic Approach
Person-Centred Counselling
This approach places you at the heart of the therapy process. I listen deeply and compassionately, without judgement, to help you feel safe enough to explore your feelings, experiences, and hopes at your own pace.
You won’t be told who you “should” be. Instead, we gently uncover who you are and what you need to feel more whole, authentic, and connected.
EMDR Therapy
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy for trauma, anxiety, and distressing memories. It supports the brain’s natural healing process so past experiences no longer trigger overwhelming reactions in the present.
Clients often describe EMDR as transformative — helping them find relief and freedom after years of feeling stuck.
